Borgo 28 is best described as sartorial sportswear; a mix between soft tailoring and casual clothing providing a diverse and unique collection for the discerning gentleman.

 

With no sacrifices in comfort, our clothing is practical yet highly stylish with a rigorous attention to detail that typifies the Borgo 28 philosophy. We take our name from our original location in Florence (Borgo Ognissanti 28) were Borgo 28 began, a modern American style loft built in the early 1800s and situated amongst some of the most iconic buildings in the city.

 

Borgo 28 embodies the traditions of couture and quality of materials that exemplify Italian sartorial luxury. Designed for all ages, our modern tailored garments feature clean, authoritative lines for the active man.

 

Our collection features exclusive design details, including our signature internal selvage. The cut of the shirts and jackets feature a narrow cross-chest with a larger cross back, allowing for comfortable and free movement while giving a cleaner, trim line. Our woven shirts all contain cotton voile internal side seam taping with floating woven canvas internal collars our sweaters feature an exclusive tubular side seam tape with our signature selvage details.

 

We chose to construct our shirts with the finest long stem Egyptian cotton (as fine as 140 two-ply in some garments). All our items are made from 100% natural fibers (Cashmere silk merino and cotton) and are enzyme washed to ensure a soft feel and guaranteed comfort. They also feature real Mother of Pearl buttons (bone or horn).

 

About the Designer

Founder owner Shayne Regan was born in New Zealand, raised in Australia, Studied in London and worked in Florence for 20 plus years and now living in Florida.

 

He studied at Sydney College of the Arts achieving a BA in Fashion and Textile Design in Sydney Australia. He then attended the London Royal College of the Arts in London where he attained a Masters specializing in Menswear Design and Tailoring.

 

After living and working in Italy for 20 plus years as Design Director for Mondo di Marco from 1991-2000 . in 2000 he founded Studio Regan, an international freelance design company. In 2010 Studio Regan evolved into Borgo 28 with the launch of the collection that can be found in some of the most prestigious specialty stores in the USA, Japan and South America.

 

The progression of Borgo 28 to the respected international brand it is today is also due to Italian designer Monica Ancora ,100% born and bred Italian!, who has worked alongside Shayne for many years and continues to be an indispensable part of the design team.

In 2013 Borgo 28 signed a prestigious distribution agreement with Ballin international for the distribution of our garments in North America and Canada. This will be the first of many to come as we aim to supply our exclusive products to our discerning clientele worldwide.
